The Insight VCS enables you to combine physical camera moves and an exceptionally customizable software interface to articulate cinematographic realism in your virtual environment. No more keyframing splines. No more artificial, linear camera moves. Stop staring at numbers and sliders and pick up a camera.

Real-Time Flexibility

Real-time virtual camera tracking is ideal for scouting virtual locations, framing shots, and rapidly iterating on complex scenes. Lay down camera moves and capture mocap actors, in the same volume, for previsualization capabilities that are impossible to achieve with traditional keyframing methods. Canned data can also be integrated into your scene for advanced previs.

Lightning Fast Production

Using motion capture to drive your virtual camera decreases your production workload significantly. In addition to increased realism, mocap offers rapid content creation, real-time results, and greater creative control over your animation, enabling you to create content far more quickly than is possible with keyframing.

Designed for professional production work, the VCS:Pro replicates the organic cinematographer's experience with exceptional fidelity. The professional model includes a 1280x768 HD LCD display for real-time feedback, mappable buttons and joysticks for extensive camera control, and a robust Redrock Micro shoulder mount kit. Markers and posts are included for a variety of marker configurations.

VCS:Mini for $199

The VCS:Mini provides low cost, lightweight and highly flexible access to the virtual camera pipeline. The kit includes an anodized aluminum mount preinstalled on a wireless Xbox 360 game pad. Markers and posts are included for a variety of marker configurations.

Virtual Camera Plugin from $1,000-$2,000

A comprehensive, customizable plugin is available for camera work in MotionBuilder or Maya, enabling control over scripts, button mapping, scaling, and camera properties. A version of the MotionBuilder plugin is also available for use with non-OptiTrack motion capture systems.

Motion Capture System (sold separately)

The Insight VCS is engineered for interoperability with any optical motion capture system, including OptiTrack, Vicon, and Motion Analysis. Any system that can track marker-based rigid bodies and stream data to MotionBuilder can be used with the VCS, meaning even non-OptiTrack mocap systems can take advantage of our cutting-edge virtual camera technology.
