Markers can be attached to multiple objects in known patterns (rigid bodies), allowing them to be tracked in full 6DOF (position and orientation). The Rigid Body Toolkit provide built-in multi-camera calibration and 3D point tracking which automatically hands off between cameras for maximum coverage.

- Real-time Data Export: Built-in support for industry
standard VRPN and Trackd protocols make integrating our real time
tracking data with your applications a snap. The included network
transport allows for convenient cross-platform
communication.
- Simple Camera Calibration: Up to 16 cameras can be
calibrated in capture volumes up to 400 square feet, with capture
volume preview. Typical calibration time is under 5
minutes.
- Powerful Tools: Rigid bodies are easy to define and
modify using our powerful visualization tools. Record and play
back data to tune and repeatably verify your
implementation.
Applications and Uses
- Biometric Analysis & Range of Motion Study
- Interactive 3D Visualization
- Industrial Automation
Need a larger tracking volume or more accuracy? Just add more cameras.
Rigid Body Toolkit notes:
- This software toolkit requires 3+ OptiTrack cameras, which are sold separately.
- A calibration square (ground plane), calibration wand, and retroreflective markers are also required; these items are not included.
- We recommend purchasing a Rigid Body Package (see right column, above) for a discount on all items needed for rigid body tracking.
- This toolkit is compatible with OptiTrack FLEX:C120, FLEX:V100, and SLIM:V100.
- All cameras used with the Rigid Body Toolkit must be of the
same model type (i.e., all FLEX:V100 cameras or all SLIM:V100
cameras); mixed environments are not supported.
