OptiTrack V120:SLIM
The V120:SLIM is a 120 Hz board level camera designed for OEM integration in machine vision and custom tracking applications. It is fully customizable, with optional component upgrades such as Filter Switcher Technology. Software support includes the free OptiTrack SDK with full API access to camera control in addition to captured and preprocessed video data. More demanding applications can utilize the Tracking Tools for robust multi-camera 3D tracking.
Features
Build your SLIM piece by piece, optimizing it as you see fit. Custom building your camera gives you the flexibility to create a hardware solution that is tailored for your own application, satisfies your unique spec, and maximizes cost-efficiency. Optional components include:
- Machined aluminum case with CS lens mount and ¼-20 tripod thread
- 800nm pass filter, Filter Switcher, or empty filter plug
- CS to M12 and CS to C lens mount adapters (only available with case)
- 3.5mm, 4.5mm, and 5.5mm OptiTrack M12 lenses
- Sync break-out cable or micro 9-pin connector with optional case
Transmit MJPEG-compressed grayscale video at full frame rate and full resolution with 1/10th of the USB bandwidth of uncompressed video. MJPEG compression enables multiple cameras to stream video to the same PC, offering scalability superior to raw grayscale video.*1
In addition to sending grayscale video, V120:SLIM cameras can detect and process marker data on-board before transferring it over USB to the computer. This greatly reduces processing power required on the host computer while also conserving USB bandwidth.
Up to 24 SLIM cameras can be synchronized per PC. Each synced camera can operate in different video modes with individually customized camera settings. Utilize OptiHubs in your sync chain to enable external syncing capabilities.*2 Learn more about using OptiHubs with the V120:SLIM.
Upgrade any V120:SLIM camera with OptiTrack's Filter Switcher Technology, enabling visible spectrum video in addition to standard IR imaging. FS-enabled cameras use a software controlled solenoid to switch between visible and IR lens filters. Our high-quality lenses ensure crisp focus in both filter modes.

Compatible Software
NaturalPoint's free OptiTrack SDK provides complete access to the powerful capabilities of the V120:SLIM camera. Its easy-to-use API and code samples enable you to rapidly create custom tracking applications. View multiple Camera Data/Video windows at once, track multiple objects, and integrate the data into your own applications. The API is available via COM automation interfaces, which provide compatibility with C/C++, Delphi, Visual Basic, VBScript, and many other languages.

*1 MJPEG mode not supported by the OptiTrack SDK.
