Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, Nevada
(event website)

This Expo is the most important event of the year for professionals looking to improve productivity, reduce workplace injuries, and grow the bottom line. The SmartNAV Hands Free Mouse delivers a positive ROI in the work place.

In a nutshell, the SmartNAV Hands Free Mouse rocked ErgoExpo 2005! We were able give demos at the ErgoToys booth, who are the people that make the Lap Buddy. We had a really good turnout and gave a lot of you demonstrations of the technology and how it works. Our SmartNAV was the only true hands free mouse at the conference and it was nice to hear all of your feedback.

Overall everyone was impressed with the SmartNAV Hands-Free Mouse technology and all the different ergonomic features.

OTAO logo Occupational Therapy Association of Oregon - OTAO Annual Conference
Oct 21-23, 2005
Portland, Oregon
(event website)

NaturalPoint fully endorses the mission of OTAO, which is to support its membership by providing direction and vision for the profession while promoting excellence in the practice of Occupational Therapy. Unfortunately the OTAO conference this year conflicted with our trip to Closing the Gap, though the SmartNAV hands free head pointer was still represented. Brochures and flyers were available and a SmartNAV was given away as a prize. The event was a great success. There were well over 150 people in attendance. The vendor area got a great deal of traffic during the morning registration, but the lunch time break was when most of the action happened. Our information was at one of the display tables, along with a look at the SmartNAV. The raffle winner of the SmartNAV was obviously pretty excited.

What CTG 2005 may look like? Closing The Gap 2005
October 20-22, 2005
Minneapolis, MN
(event website)

In a nutshell, SmartNAV rocked Closing the Gap 2005! We had really good turnout. Anne Banton, did a head mouse point-off, comparing the different head pointers. We did pretty well in the comparison, largely because we had voice recognition and a cornucopia of different software features that are unmatched by any other head pointer.

We signed up Demo Centers who were interested in being able to demonstrate the most affordable and feature rich head pointer at the conference, the SmartNAV Hands Free Mouse from NaturalPoint. Madentec, Origin, and a new entrant the LaZee mouse really had nothing on the SmartNAV, and it was nice to hear that you agree with us!

What CTG 2005 may look like? We held a drawing for free units. The winners, Monica L. Short of the AT:LASTS Project (www.atlasts.com) and Joann Ervin of Old Dominion University, have been contacted by email. Congratulations on your new SmartNAV3 AT!

Another pleasant surprise was that the guys from Dasher, an awesome on-screen typing program (www.dasher.org.uk) were at our booth giving demos of their product as well. We got quite a bit of people showing up for dasher demos that we shamelessly co-opted and gave a SmartNAV demo to as well. Thanks Guys!

Overall everyone was impressed with the SmartNAV Hands Free Mouse technology and the new features we had implemented. If you are interested in being a Demo Centers or if you have any questions, please let us know.

CSUN 2005 California State University Northridge (CSUN) 2005
(event website)

This is a comprehensive, international conference, where all technologies across all ages, disabilities, levels of education and training, employment, and independent living are addressed. It is the largest conference of its kind! The conference, while huge, was not nearly as focused as Closing the Gap. NaturalPoint's own Kevin Fox was present at RJ Cooper’s booth on Thursday, Friday and most of Saturday. SmartNAV was used to play a game called ‘Wheels’ that RJ developed, which essentially uses the 3D Engine from Doom or Wolfenstein to create a world with clowns, pies, and the ability to use dwell clicking and move with ‘mouse position’ mode. Madentec had their trackball mouse out, which was not any smaller than our SmartNAV. Origin still had their old HeadMouse, giving solitaire demos (nothing exciting there). For the money I thought our demo using the First Person Shooter game (albeit a really old one) was the best at the show. For CTG 2005 we will have some cooler games to demo instead of just solitaire.

Jim and Kevin in The CTG 2004 booth Closing The Gap 2004
(event website)

3 members of NaturalPoint's sales team headed out to Minneapolis to show off the new SmartNAV 3 experience. Demonstrating the new hardware and software was only the beginning. We held drawings for free units, demonstrated SmartNAV3's complete superiority over older systems, answered all questions, sold systems on the spot, and listened to excellent feedback from those that were using SmartNAV for the first time. We received nothing but enthusiastic responses to the SmartNAV 3 and appreciate your valuable insights, interesting requests for new features, and shrewd ideas for spreading the word about SmartNAV3. Thank you.

Kevin in The OTAO 2004 booth Occupational Therapists Association of Oregon (OTAO) 2004
(event website)

The new and improved SmartNAV 3 debuted at this conference in Corvallis, Oregon. Hundreds of industry professionals were present to talk about the needs of their patients, and the possibilities for anyone to benefit from head tracking computer control. We gave away one free SmartNAV 3 system to one lucky individual in the event's concluding raffle.
