Voice Recognition
Test Our New Voice Recognition Feature
You will need to download the following files which have the speech recognition engine files from Microsoft, and our latest beta build of SmartNAV software:

If you already have installed the Voice Recognition Files from Microsoft (below) then you can download just this SmartNAV software beta update:

- If you have not yet installed the Voice Recognition Files from Microsoft (or aren't sure), then please download this file first :
media.naturalpoint.com/smartnav/voice/SmartNAV-Speech-20050602.zip (50 MB)
(if you are unable to download files of this size, please drop us an email and we'll see if we can help you out).
Extract this zip to your hard drive. It will create a directory called CD. Enter it and run setup.exe, follow any prompts to remove previous versions of SmartNAV software and install the latest build. At the end you should be prompted to install Voice Recognition Support, click 'Yes'. This will install the needed files for the speech recognition engine.
Now start the SmartNAV software, the speech recognition will default to enabled and you can now begin issuing mouse clicks. For a list of available commands please see the manual (about 680 KB), here :

There is also a section for troubleshooting, in case you run in to any problems. Please note these additions to the manual are also 'beta' and we would like your input on the manual as well as the software.
