E³ Highlights

NaturalPoint was at E³ this year and is pleased to announce we have locked down TrackIR support for some major upcoming titles. We cannot mention specifics at this point but we can say we met with Ubisoft, Blimey!, 10TACLE, Replay Studios and Irrational Games. While most of our time was spent in meetings we did get out to the show floor to check out the latest and greatest technology.

We found it very interesting that Nintendo's Wii controller takes advantage of optical tracking and that Sony has announced 6DOF controllers as the standard for the PS3. It appears that people are finally noticing how valuable increased immersion can be. We believe this revelation will help all alternative input devices including the TrackIR!


New and Future TrackIR Games

Rise: The Vieneo Province
Experience over 100,000,000 km of seamless reality in an accurately simulated extra-solar system. Use ground, air, and space vehicles and structures to discover and develop sprawling urban cities, rain swept valleys, vast uncharted deserts, and glittering alien seas. Rise is exclusively a multiplayer game, and is the first TrackIR-enabled MMORPG!

Ship Simulator 2006
An exciting new ship simulation game with realistic graphics and steering. Ship Simulator has nine different playable ship types. You can steer them in three different environments: Rotterdam Harbor, Hamburg Harbor, or the tropical paradise islands of Phi Phi, Thailand. The game contains 31 predefined missions, in which you need to navigate to waypoints or rescue swimmers.


Upcoming Events

IFC Denver, July 1-2 preview
The International Flight Sim Convention was established three years ago, in Blackpool, on the West Coast of the United Kingdom. In this short time IFC has grown into the largest of its kind in the world. Now, we are pleased to say that NaturalPoint will be displaying at IFC when it comes to Denver, to present a two-day convention. Microsoft's Flight Simulator X will also be demonstrated, so if you are in the area please stop by!

Danish Air Force Air Show event, June 11
This yearly Open House event is held at the fighter base Skrydstrup in Denmark on June 11, 2006. Eight TrackIR 4:PRO units will be available to play with Falcon 4.0 on laptops at the 87th Stray Dogs booth.

At the 2006 Laval Virtual Awards, an international panel of specialists awarded NaturalPoint a Laval Virtual Trophy for the "Interfaces and Materials" category. NaturalPoint is honored to receive recognition for our work in bringing new levels of immersion to gaming and simulation with TrackIR.
